| | First day of xc practice! it was super fun to see everyone again! did half mile warm up, drills, and abs with the team then went 1.5 more. it was a little rough being the first day back and I really need to start my form drills back up because I was feeling pretty sloppy but overall it was really good to finally be running again. Voila there's my first entry.

| | nice half mile warm up with the team then went out 1.5 more. I started feeling a little better than yesterday so that's good. Did some abs and learned some new hip excercises then called it a day.

| | First speed workout today! 6x1min pickups with 1min jog in between. It was hard but felt really good to go fast again. I was determined to keep up with Gan and Watson because I want to be able to race with them this season so shout out to them for pushing me! Went s little over today too but it was good to go a little farther than usual. Did abs and hips with the girls, took my first ice bath of the season which was super cold but fabulous then went home to pack for Idaho

| | Ran in Idaho today which was different but fun. Missed the team but thankfully my bro was there to run with me. Did a half mile warm up to a park then stopped and did drills. The park had a trail around it so we ran on that till it was time to go back. I went a little under today because my knee flared up. I'm crossing my fingers it's nothing serious and it will be feeling better by tomorrow. I do not want to get injured again!

| | I decided to go a little under what I was supposed to be going today just to be cautious. I headed to the park again but my bro didn't want to come so I was all alone :(. After .5 I did my drills then kept going till I hit 2. I struggled keeping the pace up by myself which I was upset about but my knees didn't hurt at all!!!!!!!!! Hooray!!!!!! Until later today when I was walking but it was only for a little bit so I think they'll be ok!!! I didn't get to abs and hips today which I feel a little guilty about but oh well.

| | easy paced distance run today. Knees were good. Really need to get back to icing them though or else they may start going down hill.

| | Warmed up then played a couple of rounds of sharks and minnows before heading out on a run. On the run it was just me and Hannah which was kind of sad but a good bonding experience. (Especially when we thought we were gonna get kidnapped) For some reason my legs were super tired today and felt like rocks. Hopefully they feel a little better for the speed tomorrow. After the run I did some quality abs and hips with Gan then biked home.

| | Warmed up a mile to the cemetary and then did some speed. It was 1x100,200,300,400,300,200,100 all at 2 mile pace. My legs were feeling much better than yesterday and it felt good to go fast. I wasn't expecting it to be very hard but turned out to be a pretty good challenge. Afterwards I just ran home to finish up my mileage.

| | biked an easy 15mi today then met up with the team to do abs and hips :)

| | warmed up and then did the new dream maker! I think I started a little too fast up the first hill but I survived thanks to Gan and even pr'd by 12 secs! Afterwards I waited for the girls to do another mile then headed back with them to do abs, hips, and an ice bath.

| | warmed up then did what was supposed to be a recovery run but didn't really feel like one with the girls. It was alright but I got food poisoning last night and my stomach was still feeling a little off. On the plus side though my knees were fabulous so I can't complain. Did abs and hips and then went to keep having an awesome day!

| | warmed up then headed to the upper cemetary to do a 10 min grass run. The pace was fast but felt good. Afterwards ran back to finish mileage then did abs, hips, and lower body weights. No knee problems today! It's been at least a week if not two since i've had knee probs and i love it!

| | It was a tempo run today. I had drivers Ed early so I had to run earlier by myself and let me tell you it was a struggle. I knew it would be harder to keep the pace without anybody to run with but I was determined to fight for the pace because I knew I was capable of it. Unfortunatley things didn't go as planned. I struggled to push myself and in the end I didn't get the pace I was shooting for. Today was kind of a bummer :(

| | Woke up today and really did not want to go running. But I went anyways and it turned out to be a solid run. I was supposed to go 7 but my knee started to hurt a little bit so I decided to turn around just to be safe. My knee didn't bother me again though so thats good. My pace was alright and it was a good day :)

| | I was feeling quite sore from yesterday when i woke up and had no desire to go up another hill. But thank goodness to my awesome leader Sis Snoddy! i didn't have to! She offered to pick us up at the mouth of the canyon and so Butters, Hannah, and I set off on our 4 miles downhill. When we started the idea of 4 miles all down hill sounded luxurious but after about 2 i was worried my knees wouldn't be able to handle the constant pounding. They survived though. I can't wait to get home tomorrow and be able to run where it's flat and you can actually breath!

| | forced myself to go running. i did not care about pace, distance, or even locating my watch. I just left in the blazing heat and ran.

| | ran to the cemetary for a warm up then went to the pit for mile repeats! We did 3 repeats that were supposed to be between 5:30-6:25. I missed the girls at byu camp and butters but thanks to Kaylee we finished the workout victorious with 6:19, 6:10, and 6:14. I'll be honest i was not looking forward to this workout but when we finished i felt super accomplished and it was awesome!

| | i had plans to run with girls today but that didn't work out since I slept in. Because of that I got a late start and ran in the heat but I actually felt really good. I was by myself but the pace was good and everything felt great. Until around mile 4 my right arch started to ache a lil bit. I wasn't too concerned bc that happens every now and then and it's fine. I kept going but the pain didn't go away. I stopped a couple times to stretch it out and that helped but then after running on it a little while it would flare up again. I was supposed to go 8 and I really wanted to finish the new loop I was trying but at 5 I finally gave in and decided not to get injured hopefully. Shout out to my gma and gpa for picking me up! I went home iced and rolled it out. I got some good runs planned for next week and I really hope this isn't serious. 😁

| | I'm actually really bummed with how my run turned out today but decided I needed to post anyways. I was super pumped to finally be able to run in Oregon and my arch was feeling better. I was hoping to wake up then go on one of my dads routes from growing up but instead everyone headed straight to the beach. I ran 1.5 to kissing rock and back but didn't want to risk going anymore on the sand. I wanted to get more miles later but that didn't happen either :( I'm thinking tomorrow will be better though.

| | I FINALLY GOT A SOLID RUN IN! I woke up early today hoping to get a real run in before the fams morning adventures but so did the fam bc we had to find starfish when it was low tide so that didn't work out. But we got home early enough that I could go on one tonight. Me and my padre headed out along he ocean but on a road this time. Ran to gold beach high and ran their xc course which was cool then took a victory lap on the track. We kept running along the ocean till we hit the jetty where we saw a sweet sunset and some sea lions. It was time to turn back but we went a different route and found a lighthouse and a giant pile of driftwood we had to run across. It was a quality run and now I'm really happy! Did some nice stretching afterwards.

| | i decided to do some exploring for my run today and ended up finding a sick trail. It was super pretty and I only tripped and fell once! I ran the rest of my mileage on that. the pace was pretty good till I tripped. I wasn't sure what the x5 hill accelerations were so I just found some hills and accelerated up them. So ya...

| | Finally running with the team again! wu a mile then headed to the pit for low mileage recovery run. neck was good. knees were a little sore but i think it just from not running in a while. did abs and hips then sat on the grass for like 20 min with brynlee and rachel. It was really relaxing and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

| | First afternoon practice and it was really hot. wu then easy distance run. The heat drained all my energy so I was exhausted the whole run. We stopped 3mi in to get a drink and that helped a lot. Me and Kaylee kicked it in the last .25 and its a good thing we finished when we did bc i felt like i was going to throw up. I really need to figure out what to eat with the later practices. Can't wait for camp tomorrow and to run in the morning!

| | First day of camp! headed up to memory grove in SLC. It was high mileage and the run was straight up and straight down. As soon as we started I was struggling mentally. Jamie wanted us to try and not stop to prepare for races. I did pretty well the first mile and then we stopped to do drills. I was determined to stick with the group the next 2 miles bc i knew the last 3 would be a piece of cake. But around 2.5 i felt like I was going to throw up again. I stopped and as soon as i did i was fine. I was really mad at myself bc i gave up when it was hard. I started again and met kaylee and hannah at the 3mi mark. We ran back together and I felt good. When we got back my arch was sore from my new shoes but after rolling it out it was feeling better. abs and hips. found watson. Hoping tomorrow i can push myself harder.

| | Back to practice in the heat. Low mileage easy pace run thank goodness. My knee was hurting real bad during the warm up but sometimes it just does that and its fine after a mile or so. After drills headed out with the crew but turned around after .5 cuz my knee was still hurting :( Thankfully i rode my bike to practice and so i was able to go on a ride for my workout. Came back and did abs and hips with the team. Came home and iced the knees so they should be good tomorrow.

| | woke up extra early to get some miles in before my crazy day started. Did them on the treadmill cuz I didn't want to go outside so early in the morning by myself. That was rough. Ran out of time and only got 2 in. kind of disappointed but glad I at least got some mileage in.

| | Day 1 of awesome week! wu towards smiths and then did whistle hills in the gulley which was hard but good! I've been a little disappointed because I feel like I haven't been pushing myself as hard as I could be during races so I'm actually looking forward to an awesome week of pushing myself instead of holding back. ran back then did some abs and hips. ended the day with a freezing cold ice bath.

| | Day 2- the kicker. I was looking forward to this wo because last time i ran it i did not do so good and i needed to redeem myself. We started off with a good pace, and i was able to stick with gan and kaylee. My legs were sore from yesterday but I still felt really strong the whole time. finished with a new pr of 10:05. shoutout to watson for killin it!

| | Gan was threatening me if I didn't start blogging again so I'm back! Today was a nice low mileage recovery run and I did a mile of it on the grass. Abs, hips, and push ups. My foot's been flaring up a little bit again but after icing the last couple of days it didn't hurt bad today which was a plus.

| | Biked today today to give the body a break. Just went an hour on the MCT and I forgot how much I liked biking on it. my knees have started to hurt again a lil bit these past couple of days which isn't the best because they haven't bugged me once for 4ish months. I think it's just all the wear and tear of the season finally getting to me. But i'm definitely going to cross train the rest of the week and we'll see how they are in Monday

| | Biked 45min on the trail and then ran 2.I felt so stiff and awkward when I first started running and I was honestly a little worried that I had forgotten how to run but the second mile felt a lot more natural so it's all good. My knees hurt the first .5 but then were fine after that so that's a good sign.

| | Since my knees felt pretty good yesterday I was just going to see how far I could go. It was low mileage so I had 4. I went all the way out 2 because they were feeling good but when we hit mile 3 my knees killed and by that point there wasn't much I could do besides keep running. I'm going to go home and ice and hopefully that will help. Definitely cross training tomorrow.

| | biked today. There was a workout but the higher resistance hurt my knees so I just biked for 30min. I forgot to ice last night but I'm definitely doing it tonight because my knees have been bugging me all day. Shoutout to Gan though for rolling me out!

| | We had a plank test today and I made a new pr of 3min which I'm pretty proud of even though it's not passing yet. Then did a nice little loop with the girls. I just went 2 because I didn't want to risk my knees flaring up and they didn't so that's good. They're feeling way better than yesterday. I was planning on finishing mileage on the bike but after 10 min my knees were hurting pretty bad and I decided that I should probably stop. Did some quality stretching, hips, more abs, and became a member of VOR.

| | Today I learned that I do not get along with treadmills. It was high mileage recovery but I just went 5 bc of time and bc of how much I would be walking around today. It was really rough but whenever i got discouraged I just envisioned nxr which helped a ton. Can't wait to be able to run with people outside again.

| | Speed workout today. I realized after I finished I did them wrong whoops! I tried to get away from the treadmill but running by yourself in Cali is scary! So that didn't happen. I felt really tired but being on the treadmill helped me to keep the pace. It wasn't perfect but overall it was a solid workout.

| | Speed workout today but I biked it just so I could get more resistance since I don't have any hills. I did 1min 2min 3min on with a min rest in between each one 3x. Warmed up for 10 min then cooled down on the treadmill .5. It was hard but good. Last speed workout alone! Hooray!
